Having a custom-fitted stock is essential for achieving good results in clay shooting. That’s why we invented the measuring caliper – discover it now.

If you’ve already tried our FK6 stock, or another adjustable stock, you’ll know that one of the greatest advantages of this technology is being able to make any adjustment independently, at any time – even right on the shooting stand.

It’s a real benefit for both beginners, who are still finding their ideal setup, and for more experienced shooters who need to fine-tune every last detail. However, being able to make endless adjustments in seconds can be a double-edged sword – and that’s exactly why we created our RSR01 measuring caliper.

With this precision tool, you can turn sensations into numbers, allowing you to reach the perfect stock configuration while maintaining the freedom to return to any previous setup at any time. All of this can be done independently, even at the shooting range – all you need is the measuring caliper and your personal notebook where you can record your measurements.

Let’s take a closer look at what the RSR01 measuring caliper is used for – and, most importantly, all the measurements it can detect.

Purpose of the measuring caliper

The RSR01 is a precision tool specially designed to help you fine-tune all the adjustable parts of the Futur-K6AM system: stock height, pitch, buttplate movements and rotations, and much more.

You can use the measuring caliper to take measurements from any stock, even traditional wooden ones, and then transfer those to your FK6 adjustable stock. This gives you a great starting point for making all the adjustments you want. Plus, you can create a diary of your measurements using the complimentary notebook, allowing you to return to an old setup at any time.

Precision on the shooting stand is essential – not just at the moment of firing. That’s why having a precision measuring caliper is so important. It allows you to make your adjustments based on objective data, not just feelings. That way, any shooter with an adjustable stock can adjust their setup independently, even at the range.

The New RSR01 Measuring Caliper: Even More Precise and High-Performing

Over the years, we’ve never settled. We’ve continued to develop the RSR01 to improve its accuracy and ease of use.

We’ve selected high-quality materials, like the anodised aluminium rod, which offers excellent rigidity and precision while keeping the weight very low. Despite being made of two detachable parts, it maintains perfect alignment and a straight structure, ensuring maximum accuracy during quick assembly.

Attention to detail doesn’t stop with the choice of materials. It also extends to the support systems used to secure the tool to the shotgun – these are designed specifically to ensure maximum stability and precision during measurements.

All of this is made possible thanks to the experience and reliability of Futurmec, a leader in precision mechanical processing and the company behind Futur-K6AM. Thanks to our passion for absolute quality, we guarantee a 0.0% margin of error across all our products – the RSR01 measuring caliper included.

Please note that the caliper can be positioned on ribs of different widths: it works on both 10 mm and 11 mm ribs. Simply attach the rod (which contains the magnetic supports) to the body in either of the two possible 180° rotated positions. The magnetic supports are designed with grooves of 10 mm and 11 mm, respectively.

The first adjustment you can measure is pitch – the inclination of the buttplate relative to the barrel. This is measured in degrees, from a maximum of 10° for larger-framed shooters down to 0° for slim shooters. By positioning the rear transparent panel of the RSR01 so that it’s parallel to the buttplate base, you can read the pitch angle on the lateral fan-shaped protractor – along the line of fire.

The rear transparent panel also enables measurements of the buttplate rotation and cast. You can detect both the lateral offset relative to the rib axis and the rotation angle between the two longitudinal symmetry planes: that of the gun and that of the buttplate.

Height adjustments for both the buttplate and comb can also be easily measured. Using the horizontal slider and vertical gauge, you can determine the comb’s position relative to the rib – from the tip (the highest point of the comb) to the heel (the lowest point). Sliding the gauge in the same way, you can also measure the height of the buttplate in relation to the rib. The horizontal scale allows you to reference the horizontal position of the gauge when reading vertical measurements.
